Questions

Does everyone have to set something up?

No. Slack already stores each person’s time zone on their profile, and that is what Globendar reads. Install it once and /globendar meet works in any channel it has been invited to.

What can it see?

The members of a public channel where you run a command, and their display name and time zone. It does not read your messages, and it has no access to private channels or DMs.

Does it cost anything?

No. Globendar is free, and the Slack app is free too.

How do I remove it?

Slack → Apps → Globendar → Configuration → Remove App. We delete your workspace’s stored token and settings as soon as Slack tells us it was uninstalled.
